Recognizing and Reporting Recruiting Fraud

At LevelUP, we take the privacy and safety of our candidates and clients seriously. Unfortunately, as a recognized talent solutions provider, our brand may be misused by bad actors attempting to impersonate our recruiters, employees, or even automated tools. These scams can include fake job offers, fraudulent invoices, or social engineering attempts through messaging platforms like Signal, WhatsApp, or Telegram.

We want you to feel confident when engaging with LevelUP. Here’s how to protect yourself and verify legitimate communication.

What to Watch For

  • We never request payment or personal financial details. LevelUP will never ask you to pay for a job opportunity, purchase equipment, or share banking information.

  • We use official email addresses only. Legitimate communication will always come from a verified @leveluphcs.com or @phytontalent.com domain (or from our client partners’ official domains). Be careful of slight changes to domains meant to trick recipients.

  • We do not recruit via Signal or similar messaging apps. If someone claiming to represent LevelUP contacts you through Signal, WhatsApp, Telegram, or other third-party chat apps, it is not us.

  • AI communication will be clearly identified. You may interact with our verified AI Talent Scout, Ella, through our official website or SMS messaging. Ella will never ask for payment, banking details, or personal identification numbers.

  • We will never offer employment without an interview. Be cautious of unsolicited job offers that skip normal hiring steps or sound “too good to be true.”

  • Clients: Verify all invoices and payment instructions through your known LevelUP contacts. We will never change payment information or request wire transfers via email without prior discussion.

How to Verify a Legitimate Interaction

  • Check that the recruiter or sender has a valid LinkedIn profile connected to LevelUP HCS.

  • Confirm through our official website or contact form before engaging or sharing information.

  • Forward any suspicious messages or emails to privacy@leveluphcs.com so our team can investigate.

Your trust is central to how we do business. Staying aware and informed is the best way to protect yourself and others from recruitment fraud.
